THE ROJECT
MEA is a Modern East African fashion design and tailoring service company based in Uganda looking to enhance modern look, satisfaction and cost effectiveness across East Africa.
The target market is sensitive to cost and culture, and the brand aimed to stand out for modernity, durability and human empathy in the fashion design industry.
The logo mark has a hidden logic of an ambigram so that when it is rotated at an angle of 180 degrees, it still remains upright without altering; positioning MEA as adaptable, persistent and long lasting brand. This connects to cultural adaptability as well as durable and non-defeat situation of MEA’s offerings.
The muted brown colors are earth-bound intended for humanity and cultural favor while the metallic gray empowered cost effectiveness as the color is noticed on strong and durable surfaces. The luxury serif font helped modern perception and fashion industry itself while the sharp san serif I intended for contrast between modernity and approachability.
